Mike, what are we going to do with you?: Mike Tyson was detained by police at LAX Airport in Los Angeles Wednesday, The Associated Press reports.

The boxing champ formerly known as the “Baddest Man On The Planet” was detained by police on suspicion of battery following an incident involving a photographer at a United Airlines ticket counter. The photographer claims “Iron Tyson” attacked him, knocking him to the ground and cutting his forehead in an brawl this afternoon. The photog is being treated at a local hospital.

, on the other hand, tells The AP Mike — who has adopted a more mellow approach to life after serving time in prison and spending years as a hellraiser — was traveling with his wife and 10-month-old baby when the family was pounched by the photographer. The rep says Tyson acted in self-defense.

“There’s a lot of different versions to this story and that’s all going to come out later,” said Tyson’s spokesperson Tammy Holcomb. “There were numerous witnesses and that’s what this whole case is going to depend on. Right now he is very compliant, very cooperative. He’s just waiting in one of our holding cells.”

Both the shutterbug and Mike want to press misdemeanor battery charges. Mike, now 43, lost his 4-year-old daughter Exodus in a choking accident last May.
